Moin Sascha first describe to us how the track came about
The track was created during the lockdown in the corona pandemic. In the home studio I was able to let my thoughts and feelings run free, which is reflected in the track.
You’ve been in the music scene for a long time. Many things have changed over time. Do you think or would you say that you want to convey old values to your music and the “upcoming release”.
The wild 90s shaped the techno scene all over the world. In many releases you can recognize the old values. In the Track „Black Night“ I am mainly concerned with expressing my current emotional state. So I try to go my own way.
When we hear the track, what do you think should we adjust?
I wanted to reflect a “rigid, floating field in an infinite space” for the listeners. To drive towards the starry sky at night and enjoy the space.
Is it important for you personally to express feelings through music?
Music consists of feelings, no matter what kind of music, so it is very important to me personally to express my feelings in a track.
What are your next projects and where do you see yourself with the label “wechselstrommusic” in a year?
My next projects will certainly depend on the pandemic. I am currently in the club “Voicefromlakesihl” from Einsiedeln in Switzerland active member and deputy president. At the same time I work with “ceamusic” from Basel and “Tiamoofficial”.
There are some gigs on the program and the next releases are already being planned.
The story behind the track is very interesting. But from your point of view, would you say that many things that happen in the production of a track are very intuitive.
That is the challenge of packing your own emotional state in such a way that you can recognize it in the track. Of course, things also happen intuitively in a production that flow into the track. This is also a feeling that should have space to be recorded at the moment.
What would be your biggest wish for this release?
That I can reach people with the track who feel connected to the “Black Night”.
